Suggested Format for Meetings
HELLO EVERYBODY : I'm ______, and I'm between jobs (or underemployed or I am here because someone I care about is unemployed).
This meeting is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so they may solve their common problems and help others going through the process of finding meaningful employment. The only requirement for membership is the desire to not be isolated during this time. There are no dues or fees for membership. This meeting is not allied with any religion, sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institutions; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to help each other by giving emotional and spiritual support during this difficult time.
- Because we believe there is special work for each of us, we share employment leads. Are there any announcements about new job openings?
- This is normally a one and a half-hour meeting.
- We need a Chair for one week from today. Who is scheduled to Chair.
- We have meetings on Wednesday.
- We ask that you respect the anonymity of others. WHO YOU SEE HERE, WHAT YOU HEAR HERE, WHEN YOU LEAVE HERE, LET IT STAY HERE! (Here, here!)

INTRODUCTION OF MEMBERS . Chair: Now if we could go around the room and do a check-in. To do a check-in, First tell us your first name, Second are you unemployed or underemployed and if you want to share this information, how long have you been unemployed, Third give a number from 1-10, to describe how you are doing tonight with 10 meaning you are feeling great, 1 means you are having a bad day or week, and then give two or three brief sentences about why you feel that way. I will start.
Tonight's meeting will be about chapter ______ but first is there is any pressing needs or suggestions?
